league [of legends], the dreaded game. i have so many hours in it, probably at least 10,000.

if you've read suboptimalism's minecraft memoir this is basically the same thing except replace "minecraft" with "league of legends". in fact go read it cause it's a well written story.

i used to play a lot of solo queue (the competitive mode) to the point of desperation but managed to quit in 2022 (after reaching the "goal" of diamond). i regret all these hours of soloq but, other than that, playing casually with premades can actually be fun.

playing at a tournament, especially at a tournament physically held at a store with people watching is one of the memories i cherish the most.

i also made many friends through league so i don't really regret that either.

TLDR miserable experience when played alone but a fun activity while playing with friends!
